Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrive at Gonggar Airport, drive 110km to Tsedang, Chidk in hotel and a complete rest for acclimatization.
Day 2 : A full day exploration to Samye Monastery, the 1st Buddhist Monastery, Yunbulakhang palace, and Tombs of Tibet Kings.
Day 3 : Drive 330km to Shikatse via the Yalung Tsamgpo Gorge. Stay at Shiatsu Hotel.
Day 4 : In the morning, visit Tashilunpo Monastery and new palace of Panchen Lama, drive 90km to Gyantse, in the afternoon, on the way visit Shalu Temple o/n at Gyantse hotel.
Day 5 : After s/s Pallor Monastery and Kumbum Stupa, drive 280km to the Holy City Lhasa via Karola Pass (5015m), take Yandrok and Kambala Pass (4794m).
Day 6-7 : Two full days exploration to Bhakhor and Jolkhang Temple, Potala Palace, Drepung and Sera Monasteries.
Day 8 : Bye-bye to this holy land and fly to onward destination.
